Write for RAZZ

Contact the Print Editors, Emma Ingledew and Hannah, or the Online Editors, Miriam, Emma Vernon and Emily at razzmag@gmail.com, on our facebook page or on twitter with your ideas and suggestions. We’d love to hear from you whether you’d like to contribute to the next issue, write an online article or just ask what we’re all about!

First of all you need to become a member of the RAZZ Magazine society. You can do this online all year round on the Student Guild’s website here and it only costs £6. This will sign you up to our mailing list so you can be updated via email on what RAZZ is up to, as well as access to our writer’s Facebook page where you can pick content and see what opportunities we are offering. At least once a term we will put out a content call for the print magazine – creative pieces like poetry and photography usually have a theme but the rest will be Arts and Lifestyle related and divided into sections like on the website. You will then submit any pieces by the deadline and we will select and proof submissions as well as format for printing. RAZZ will be distributed around points on campus (e.g. in the magazine stand outside the library) but check our social media pages for updates. The magazine is free so that it can be widely accessed! In terms of the online section of RAZZ, we release content calls every three weeks for prospective writers to choose articles from, and we also invite writers to send any of their own pitches or ideas to razzmag@gmail.com at any time.

We’re looking for interesting, fun and thought-provoking feature articles, reviews, interviews, creative writing and anything else that takes your fancy! We ask that pieces are between 400 and 800 words unless otherwise specified. Apart from that, it’s up to you.

    1. All of our content is written voluntarily by students at the University of Exeter. Thank you for your interest though – we’d love it if you followed our blog!
